About Endless Family Joy

It all happened in just 96 hours.

The first time I set eyes on the glorious being named Margie Andersen was Friday, Feb 5, 1995. It was a blind date and we went to Nelson’s Frozen Custard on State Street in Orem, UT.

She was a nursing school student at BYU and I was a bum, wondering what to do with my life. When I set eyes on Margie, I suddenly found a purpose. I just knew this gal was the one for me.

So, on Tuesday night (just 96 hours later), I proposed to her…

and she said yes!

After a very long courtship of 2.5 months, we married in the Salt Lake City, UT LDS Temple.

After a very long courtship of 2.5 months, we married in the Salt Lake City, UT LDS Temple.

Today, we are still totally wild about each other. After all these years, we still get accused of being a newlywed couple… that is until people see our (very) large family.

We are the very proud parents of 11 children… Esther, Joshua, Jared, Hyrum, Isaac, Brigham, Mary, Sariah, Miriam, Enoch, and Eve.

Besides being unusually numerous, we are just like most families. We have up-days and down-days. We fight, we laugh, we pout and nitpick at each other, and we love.

Besides being unusually numerous, we are just like most families. We have up-days and down-days. We fight, we laugh, we pout and nitpick at each other, and we love.

But, underneath all of this there is something unusual going on at our place

There is a nearly constant stream of joy flowing in and through and around each member of the family.

That joy is not by coincidence or because we were born at the right place or because we’ve never had problems.

It’s a very carefully planned and documented approach to family life.

The whole thing rests on three ideas we call The Three Core Ideas to Endless Joy.

And that’s the real story behind Endless Family Joy… we are unusually joyful and we want to share our “joy ideas” with you.

We’re not perfect and we certainly don’t think we have all the answers. But we do have lots of joy.
